Version upgrade costs. |

Question What is the cost of upgrading to the latest version of PingPlotter or MultiPing? Solution First, licenses are perpetual. Once you own a license, it does not "expire". Upgrades are free through the lifecycle of a major version. If you bought a license for a PingPlotter Standard 2.x version, you get free upgrades to all future 2.x releases. If you bought a license for PingPlotter Pro 3.x, you get free upgrades to all future 3.x releases. Example: In July of 1998, we released version 2.0 of PingPlotter Standard. Anyone who bought a license then got a free upgrade to the 2.60 version. To date there have been no paid upgrades for PingPlotter Standard or PingPlotter Pro. Every licensed user has gotten the upgraded features and capabilities of the latest version for free! Note: The latest release of PingPlotter Standard, 3.40s, is also a free upgrade to all licensees of PingPlotter Standard (previously called PingPlotter Shareware, or just 'PingPlotter') - even those who purchased 2.0 in 1998. Our upgrade policy did not call for this to be a free upgrade, but we're doing it anyway. Just as an FYI, the version 1.x line of PingPlotter is freeware. We intend to keep it that way (even as we upgrade that version). This also applies to MultiPing through its 2.x version line. You can upgrade for free to any newer 2.x versions. PingPlotter Pro does require a different license key and is not a free upgrade from PingPlotter Standard - as it is a new product. See here for more details.
