Low volume with Windows 7

When running Windows 7, some have encountered low iSpeed "voice announce" volume compared to iRacing itself, making it very difficult to hear and understand any voice-announcements that iSpeed does.

With Windows 7, you can modify the relative volumes of any software using the sound card.

To do this:

  • Launch iSpeed.
  • In your system tray, right-click on the speaker and select "Open Volume Mixer".
  • In the volume mixer, you'll see a volume control for each application that's currently open and using the sound card.
  • Adjust iSpeed up/down here.
  • If the volume of iSpeed is already maxed and you can't hear enough, then launch iRacing (the sim) and use the same volume mixer to turn down the volumn on iRacing.

Problem solved!
